AJ Lee

AJ was born and raised in New Jersey.

The female wrestler spent most of her childhood time in Union City, New Jersey with her parents and sibling. She completed her schooling at Memorial High School, New Jersey in 2005 and for higher studies she got admitted to Tisch School of the Arts in New York.

In 2006, She earned a degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

She was born in a poor family. Her family struggled with poverty, drug addiction, mental illness and poverty. When she was a child, the financial condition of her family was very bad.¹

She did not even have money to pay the room rent. Due to inability to pay rent, they move from one apartment to another. Sometimes they lived in motels or cars because they did not have money to pay for room rent.

In her school time, AJ asked a guy for date when she turned 19 but her first date did not go well.

In 2005, she got admission in New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about the film and television industry and studied in depth about their production.²

As per the sources, AJ was only 20 years old when she joined the wrestling world. She started his wrestling career in 2007 with New Jersey’s independent circuit.

She gives credit to her brother for coming into the wrestling industry. Her brother is a big fan of wrestling. Seeing her brother, she also became interested in wrestling.

In the year 2000, she started looking for wrestling schools around his area to get into industry so that he could further train himself, she also joined a wrestling school located a mile away from his home.

To pay school fees AJ Lee started working full time job.³ And thus her career moved towards wrestling with struggle and she entered the world of wrestling.

Her favorite female wrestler is Miss Elizabeth since childhood and she considers her as idol.

In 2009, AJ Lee signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and reports to their farm league, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

She is very kind hearted and animal lover. She has a very special love for dogs and other animals. One of her life’s goals is to open a rescue shelter for homeless dogs.

In honor of National Dog Fighting Awareness Day on April 8, 2015, AJ started GetTough campaign with ASPCA.⁴

AJ is Christian by birth and has deep faith in Christianity. Sometimes she wears Jesus Christ locket and go to Church for prayer.

She won many awards and titles during her Westling career.

She won WWE Divas Championship 3 times⁵, won Slammy Award for Diva of the Year in 2011, She was awarded by Slammy Award for Kiss of the Year in 2012 with John Cena.⁶

In 2015, 5 feet 2 inches tall American wrestler AJ Lee retired from WWE due to problem of ongoing back issues.⁷

According to the published article on Sportskeeda, two years after joining WWE, first time she was in an ad#lt romantic relationship with a WWE wrestler.⁸

“My first year on the main roster I started dating another wrestler. Greg was my first real adult relationship and my first love. He was my first everything. He was kind, called me beautiful every day, made me birthday gifts by hand, and was close to my family. I felt safe and loved and did not regret it. Waiting until I was mature enough to handle the emotional baggage that comes with s** was worth it,” she wrote in her book.

During her WWE time, she made strong bond with American professional wrestler and actor Phillip Jack Brooks, professionally known as CM Punk.

Even after being away from WWE, she has paid a lot of attention to his fitness and health. She takes great care of her health. AJ works hard in the gym and takes healthy meals to be fit and beautiful.

At present on her Instagram, she posts her vlog, stunning photos and videos, behind the pictures of her professional and personal lifestyle.

In 2023, former WWE female wrestler AJ lee became a New York Times Best Selling Author of her book titled Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules.¹⁰

According to Wikipedia, she lives in Chicago, Illinois with her family and husband.

She made her film debut in Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery in 2014 as a voice artist. The movie was a direct-to-DVD animated comedy mystery film

In 2015, AJ Lee played Trish in a short film Madden: The Movie.¹¹

In 2016, she featured in a television show called The Evolution of Punk.

From 2016 to 2023 she worked in many movies. She played Kira in a Candian body horror film Rabid in 2019.
